Smoked salmon, horseradish and cream cheese canapés are a classic combination that’s perfect for entertaining. For a vegetarian option, try swapping out the salmon for thinly sliced radishes. If you don’t use up all the ingredients, any leftover cream cheese and smoked salmon are great on bagels the next day.
Ingredients:8 oz. cream cheese
- 2 teaspoons grated horseradish
- 2 teaspoons chopped fresh dill
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- pinch black pepper
- 1 cucumber (English cucumbers recommended)
- smoked salmon
- extra dill for garnishing
Preparation:Mix together cream cheese, horseradish, dill, lemon juice and black pepper
- Place in the fridge for an hour to allow the flavors to develop
- Cut the cucumber into thin slices, carefully scoop out some of the seeds (making sure not to go through to the bottom)
